Smithbucklin Announces Executive Changes

Transitions Deepen Smithbucklin’s Commitment to Meet the Evolving Needs of Associations

CHICAGO – Smithbucklin announced today changes to its company’s executive leadership team. 

Effective Jan. 1, 2022, Don Neal, founder and CEO of 360 Live Media, the experience design, marketing and event-focused agency acquired by Smithbucklin in 2018, will assume the newly created role of chief strategy officer, Smithbucklin. In this role, Neal will focus on growth strategies for Smithbucklin, its association clients, and enterprise thought leadership. 

Also effective Jan. 1, 2022, Jack Macleod, current chief growth officer of 360 Live Media, a role he has held since 2019, will assume the role of president, 360 Live Media, succeeding Neal.

Smithbucklin and 360 Live Media are both located in the newly opened Washington, D.C., office, a flexible workspace that inspires innovation and collaboration for employees, clients, and the association community.   

Don Neal Biography
Don Neal, a seasoned marketing advisor, author, speaker, and entrepreneur, has been building brands and leading organizations for more than 30 years. In 2011, Neal founded 360 Live Media, an award-winning, association-focused, experience design agency, acquired by Smithbucklin in 2018. Neal is a former Omnicom marketing and media executive leading global brands such as Mercedes Benz, Exxon Mobil, and Reuters. He served as consumer and commercial CMO at Marsh McLennan leading all media planning and marketing affinity programs for over 1,000 industry associations.

Jack Macleod Biography
Jack Macleod has over 20 years of experience in marketing, advertising, and public relations. He joined 360 Live Media in 2019 as chief growth officer to collaborate with association leaders. Macleod previously served as publisher and chief revenue officer at Inside Higher Ed. He also previously served as senior vice president and general manager at MXM Social, a social media content marketing agency. Macleod started his career at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide in Washington, D.C.
