Peter Finn He/Him

Peter Finn serves as executive director of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and the COE User Group. He helps these organizations grow their programs, improve operations and increase member value.

In 2024, Peter took on additional responsibilities as head of Education & Learning. He leads the team that brings clients education strategy, program development, content delivery and learning program evaluations.

Before joining Smithbucklin, Peter served as deputy executive director and chief learning officer at the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). He directed student and professional development programs, research initiatives and global activities for the organization. Earlier roles include director of education at the Goldin Institute and program manager at the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), where he helped launch the organization’s first online learning programs.

Peter also served as an adjunct faculty member at Northwestern University and previously chaired the board of the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET).

Peter holds a bachelor’s degree with a double major in English Literature and film from Clark University and a Master of Science in Learning and Organizational Change from Northwestern University.
